Sue and I joined Sandiway Golf Club in January 2013. After 30 years at our previous club it was a difficult decision to leave but having now been Sandiway members for just over a year we wanted to write to tell you that we are so pleased we made this decision.

Sandiway more than lives up to its reputation as " the most friendly and welcoming club in Cheshire". We were warmly welcomed from day one and both the lady and gentlemen members have been exceptional in the sincerity of their friendship to us. The fact that there are so many roll-ups is a great way to get to know many different members and we have enjoyed the team matches as well.

We both look forward to a long and happy time as members of Sandiway Golf Club.

I have had several lessons with Gareth. He has helped with both my long and short games. His approach is very practical. He looks at what you do and quickly gives you a simple diagnosis of your problems. He then concentrates on one or two changes that always make sense. He doesn't make it complicated or overload you with ideas. Importantly, Gareth takes an interest in how the lessons help you to PLAY better, not just hit the ball better and he will always advise on how to get the best out of the ability you have.

I started playing golf a couple of years ago and had a few lessons with Gareth, who pointed be in the right direction. A couple of years down the line and I still have regular lessons despite not being a member at Sandiway as I find his style and manor uncomplicated and his straight forward attitude has helped me refine my game and as a result my handicap is falling. The shop looks great and is always welcoming to non -members

I recently received a putting lesson from Gareth. I am trying to switch back to a short putter after a few years with a long putter but putting has never been a strong point of my game. I arranged a lesson with Gareth and explained my problems. Gareth was able to analyse and explain my problems and suggest cures and drills to address them. He was also able to give me one "quick fix" which I have found invaluable and has already made me feel far more comfortable with a putter in my hands.
