Our first hard frost for a while greeted us on Wednesday, but great credit has to go to Brian and his staff for the fantastic condition of the course throughout the winter months.
Let's hope the weather stays kind for a few more weeks.
I don't think I have played a course in better condition for a long time.
An area that most golfers forget to spend time on is their pre-shot Routine. This can certainly help you hit better shots and score better, as you are more prepared to play the shot in hand. I like to encourage golfers to go through a simple 4 step process.
1 - See it - Visualise the perfect shot
2 - Feel it - Have a practice swing to feel the shot you are trying to play.
3 - Breath it - Have a good deep breath as you walk up to the ball
4 - Just do it - When you settle over the ball just hit it…. Leave your swing thoughts to the practice swing.
This 4 step process is used by many golfers, and can really prepare you to hit the ball. Give it a try this weekend, and let me know how you get on. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the newsletter.
