Welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter. It has been all go once again at the club, with Liam Gobin showing his class once again. Matt and his team dominated the Sandiway Professional’s Cup and we even had a little visit from a former World Champion and a couple of Everton legends. Enjoy the read!

Liam retains his title... After winning the Club Championship last year at the age of 16, Liam retained his title in tremendous fashion beating Tom Duncalf on the 5th extra hole. Earlier in the day, Liam beat Conrad Blenkinsop while Tom beat Matt Darwent. Liam showed patience, commitment and a great attitude from the very first hole and he will turn out to be a tremendous golfer (he's not bad now) Even more importantly, he's a great person and a great asset to our Club. Well done Liam. |

Ladies team of 3 Last Thursday was the Ladies team of 3 event. Congratulations to the team of Sue Friar, Jean Hanratty & Alison Barber who were victorious with 76 Stableford points in a best 2 scores from 3 format. This score was good enough for a three shot victory over Alison Hunt, Alison Wildman & Hilary Stanton who finished in second place with 73 points. Well done to all who played.

Professional’s Cup - Team Dunbabin dominates! This is very difficult for me to write this but my team were outclassed from start to finish down on the Kent coast at Princes. It is the first time that I have tried such a trip and the feedback was excellent, I believe that everyone had a great time and it is something that I will be continuing next year. Everton legends and a World Champion visit Sandiway The rearranged Corporate Day took place on Wednesday, and the weather was certainly better than it was in June. Tim Burton put the disappointment of not winning the Professional's Cup behind him to Captain The Burton & Beavan team to a very impressive score of 93 points. Well done Tim. |

Playing for one of Richard Blake’s teams, Auric Vehicle Leasing, were ex World Heavyweight Champion of the World, Tony Bellew (and a true Evertonian), one of the best midfielders the Premiership has seen, Leon Osman, and a giant of a centre back Alan Stubbs. All three were very complimentary of the course and thoroughly enjoyed their day. I must thank European Tour player, Matt Nixon, who did a great job for me on the 18th hole for the Beat the Pro Challenge. Not surprising, but only 5 golfers knocked it inside Matt all day, and I must mention one of them was our Chairman, Mike Kelsall, and the other being our Club Champion, Liam Gobin.

Make a £99.98 saving! TaylorMade equipment is played by some of the world's best golfers, such as Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson. In fact, they both use TaylorMade's TP5 or TP5x golf balls, too. They're also some of the longest and straightest guys on Tour, which is partly down to the golf balls and the impressive M5 and M6 drivers. So, for a short time only, we're going to give away two dozen TP5 or TP5x golf balls for FREE with every M5 or M6 driver that we sell - just so you can see the results for yourself. |

Goodbye laces. Hello Boa Technology in today's golf equipment continues to amaze us year-on-year, but it's not just our clubs that are making strides in the tech department. Believe it or not, golf shoes are some of the most advanced products in the market thanks to the evolution of the Boa Fit System, which is replacing traditional laces. Not only does it fasten your shoe, but when the Boa dial is on the heel of your shoe, it pulls your foot back and down to provide the perfect fit for extreme comfort and stability out on the course. |

It's great walking to the first tee with a new driver in hand (that's been custom fitted to suit your swing, of course) that you know will help you outdrive your playing partners, but sometimes it can be a simple change to the ball that you're using that has the biggest effect on your game. |
