I hope you've all had a fantastic week on and off the golf course and welcome to another weekly newsletter bringing you up to date with all the latest news from Sandiway Golf Club.
This has to be the picture of the year, young Josh Booth in between his father Mike and our Captain, Guy.
What a fantastic match it turned out to be, the Captain and I went three up after five before young Josh playing off a handicap of 40 managed a 4 nett 2 on the 6th, before playing a fantastic third shot from the cross bunker on the 7th to 5 foot and rolled in the putt for a 4 nett 2. We then went 2 down with four to play thanks to a birdie, birdie, par nett birdie from Mike over holes 12,13 and 14. Before a fighting finish from the Captain and I to finish the match all square. A very enjoyable game and a big congratulations to Josh who at the age of ten played some great golf and conducted himself fantastically well on the golf course.

Alison Barber and Sharon Melrose finished third a point further back. Then on Sunday, Sue Wilson continued her great form to win the Stableford with 33 points a point ahead of Liz Scott in second.
