I hope you've all had a fantastic week on and off the golf course and welcome to another weekly newsletter bringing you up to date with all the latest news from Sandiway Golf Club.
Modernising Golf's Rules
Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
Please spare a couple of minutes to complete our survey, which gives you the chance to have your say on the proposed changes.
We've picked out some of the most significant Rules changes for you to digest in this survey, before giving you the chance to say whether you agree or disagree with each of them. It'll be great to know your thoughts.

WGC Mexico
Dustin Johnson once again showed his class as he won the Mexico World Championship, but better news was Tommy Fleetwood as he shot a final round 66 to secure second place and a cheque of 984,270 Euros. 6 of the top 10 finishers were European.
Ladies Fashion Show
After weeks of preparation the ladies fashion show took place on Tuesday night and once again proved to be a huge success. A special thank you to Lady Captain and Tracey Atherton for organising the event and not forgetting the five models who did a fantastic job.
Round Up
A double congratulations to Donal Cronin who will be our new vice Captain from May and also winning division two on Saturday in the last of the Demuth qualifiers. Donal finished two points ahead of Paul Guilford who was in second place with John Delaney third on the same score.
It was also great to hear from Keith Metcalf that he felt his recent playing lesson helped to secure him 37points to win division one. An equally impressive score was from Phill Slater who narrowly missed out to Keith on the back nine also with a score of 37 points. Grant Little was also out to impress as he finished with four birdies to finish in third place with 36 points. The twos for the day have been credited to your account at £9.71 each.
